I had my LASIK surgery June 1, 1998. Since then, there has been a big difference in my eyes. Today, September 24,1998, I am reading 20/20 in my left eye and 20/25 in my right eye. I had worn glasses since I was in the 9th grade and in the early 70’s I advanced to contacts, which I wore up until the time of my surgery. NO MORE CONTACTS. NO MORE SOLUTION. It is great; I would do it all over again, and wish I had done it sooner. Not only can I see, but I am more relaxed, I do not go out to clubs, shopping, etc. and worry I am going to lose a contact. Because of my age and other problems my eyes were starting to dry out. My eyes were red and scratchy-feeling all the time. I was to the point I never had a comfortable day with them. Now people say my face looks relaxed, not as tense around my eyes. My eyes are white instead of red. To be honest, I was absolutely scared to death to have the surgery. I don’t even like to have a regular eye exam. But thanks to Dr. James Kiley and his wonderful staff, they prepared me for everything. His staff was always there for me no matter how silly my questions were. Again, thanks to all.
